September 26, 2009:  I had the pleasure of riding in the Log Cabin Day parade this past Saturday. We had great weather and it was a perfect day for everyone to be outside. The response from the adults was great and from the children even better. I think that might have had a great deal to do with the fact that I was pitching candy as we drove. It was a fantastic way to introduce our campaign to the community. I saw many friends and acquaintances and they all seemed to be encouraging.
